Rungeto Farmer's Cooperative Society
The factories of the Rungeto Farmers' Cooperative Society were established following the liquidation of the renowned Ngiriama Cooperative. After this transition, Kiangoi, Karimikui, and Ki united to form the Rungeto Farmers' Cooperative Society.
Today, the society collaborates with 1,150 farmers and also operates a dairy cooling plant, collecting over 120,000 liters of milk per month. It supplies one of Kenya’s largest dairy product companies, enabling farmers to diversify their income streams. Additionally, the society has utilized Fairtrade premiums to establish a fuel station. The revenue generated helps cover operational costs, ultimately increasing farmers' earnings.
