Decaf

We don't do chemical solvents!

If you choose to avoid caffeine you can still enjoy speciality coffee. All our decafs use a natural water-based decaffeination process - either Swiss Water or Sparkling/Mountain water (aka CO2).

The caffeine in most decafs is removed using a chemical solvent -- either ethyl acetate or methylene chloride. Even putting aside the argument over residues, we think these agressive solvents also damage the bean structure, removing the flavour as well as the caffeine.
