Ethiopia Sidamo - G2


This delicate and subtle Ethiopian coffee comes Sidamo - the most productive coffee-growing region in the country - just south of the capital Addis Ababa. Grown by farmers of the Kilenso Mokonisa cooperative, the Grade 2 designation indicates that the coffee is fully washed and has few minor defects in its green form.

Bright with a vibrant, citrus acidity. Lemon and light cocoa notes with a soft and smooth body and very clean finish.

Sidamo is the southernmost province of Ethiopia, an area with extensive coffee plantations. Mountainous, with highly fertile soil, coffee grows at high altitudes of between 1600 - 1900m, with ample rainfall and optimal temperatures.

Coffee cherries are hand-picked, wet-milled and then dried on parchment for up to two weeks.
