Hasambo is grown in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania in the Mbeyo Region and Mbozi District. The coffee trees grow in volcanic soils at an altitude of 1,650m above sea level.

The Hasambo AMCOS co-op is a collaboration with Communal Shamba LTD -- a social enterprise founded solely by young Tanzanians. They are at the forefront of the pioneering supply chain and are supporting local farmers and initiatives to improve the community's quality of life and access to education.

Using a process unique to this region, the cherries are put through a double fermentation process, which is both wet and dry, after which they are sun dried on raised African beds for an average of 14 days.
