Guatemala has three active volcanoes, one of these - Pacaya - is located in the Fraijanes region is active, nourishing the soil with minerals and occasional ash deposits. The sun is plentiful in the dry season, which helps lift the morning fog and dew.

After picking and sorting, the coffee is transported to the wet mill where it rests in a gravity flotation tank overnight. It is then immediately pulped and passed through a demucilager. It's then transported to patios to dry in the sun for 8 to 13 days, with daily checks by a moisture meter until ready for packing.
