Colombia La Lomita Farm

£7.00

La Lomita is small, family-run farm with over 35 years experience in coffee growing. The first trees were planted in 1978 yielding a harvest of under half a tonne in 1980. 3 decades later the yield is now at 20 tonnes, with the same level of care and attention.

Workers enjoy permanent contracts, pay is 38% over the minimum wage and they receive free accommodation. Bonuses are awarded during the picking season based on cherry quality.

The coffees are fully washed with a red-fruit character.

La Lomita is located in the east face of the western branch of the Colombian Andes, in the region known as Farallones de Cali. The coffees are planted facing east at an altitude between 1,600 and 1,700 meters above sea level
